Today we had a fundraising lunch for a parishioner's granddaughter who was born with disabilities after her mother had to have chemotherapy during pregnancy. The lunch combined with donations raised $3,210 which was great.

What a tragic thing - of course the mother needed to be treated for her cancer but the damage to the baby in utero is so sad. I hope the disabilities won't preclude some quality of life for the child.
