Day 242 - First blossom

The first blossom on the weeping cherry. I'm excited about all the budding and flowering that's about to take place. I tried to take the shot with Guest Photographer's new camera, but the blossom was too small and insignificant against the grey of the weatherboards. Guest Photographer took this one for me, and as soon as I feel better, I'll learn how to get this effect with the blurred background.

Day 241 - New camera

Guest Photographer finally has his new Nikon D3000 in his possession. See the understated joy in his eyes. I say understated because his eyes don't betray his gushing joy, just as this photo doesn't show his celebratory prancing around the house. I thought I'd try out the camera.
Don't forget, if you're so inclined, check out his daily photos on his bloghttp://stillateen.wordpress.com/

Day 132 - Guest photographer

My camera has been playing up the last few days. Today Son No.1 took it with him when he went to uni with the intention of having it repaired. That didn't happen, but this photo did.

Day 72 - Reluctant pooch

My dog is camera-shy. I think she's been traumatised by the flash on one occasion, and now, delicate creature that she is, she turns away, but not only that, she slinks down low, and refuses to look my way when I want to photograph her. This shot was the best of a series of blurred black and white rejects. I had to threaten her in order to take this shot. She's a MalteseXShihtsu.
