Day 315 - School grounds

Our school is situated in beautiful surroundings. I think I've mentioned this before. I noticed young new trees in a dry area. They will have to survive without too much water, especially the way our temperatures are soaring so early in the season.

Day 133 - Catching the light

One thing I don't enjoy is knowing that we are moving closer to Winter. The worst part for me is the fact that it gets dark so early. It makes me want to crawl inside and not go anywhere. Isn't it funny how in the Summer it's still light until 9pm or so, and you feel like the day is still going on, but in Winter (or even Autumn), you feel the day ends some time after 5pm. There should be a switch in us that allows us to adapt to the seasons and function normally.
I took this photo just before it got dark. I ran out into the backyard and snapped before it became too late, and I was forced to take another inside shot.

Day 114 - Clear skies

A clearer view of the sky with most of the leaves gone from this tree. Today was at times sunny and blue sky, at times dark grey with rain. I'm not sure how I feel about the move towards Winter. Darkness descends earlier and I don't feel like going out in the evening. It's a time to be reclusive.

Day 74 - Signs of autumn

The vine is beginning to change colour; signs of early Autumn. Soon it will turn a rich red before covering our back decking. With our dog coming in and going out, we also have signs of Autumn inside.
