Last night my younger son competed in the school's annual soloists competition and won. It's so good to see him happy. He doesn't always see his abilities realistically, and would never have expected to win this. The competition was fantastic - a wonderful group of talented musicians. It would have been difficult to judge; Max Cooke was very positive and constructive in his feedback. I hope this experience lifts my son's confidence for his audition into VCASS next Tuesday. I also hope he doesn't catch my virus.

Woohoo! He looks on top of the moon - how thrilling for you all.
ReplyDeleteHe sure does. We're all very happy. Big brother even gave him a hug - not sure that's going to happen again in my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteHe is a wonderful young man who impresses me a great deal. I'm so pleased to read this. Well done. I know he would have had to outperform some quality opposition as well. I hope next Tuesday goes well for him.
ReplyDeleteThanks Garry for your kind comments. Yes, the competition was fantastic. A great group of talented kids. I hope Tuesday goes well, too. Thankyou.
