Day 220 - Market colours

Market day, and such a beautiful, sunny day. The kind of day that makes you say, 'What a beautiful day!' so often that you start telling yourself to shut up. This photo captures the colours of the sweet shop; pity about the reflection of the lights in the glass.
This is where we get our organic, hormone-free chicken. Must try the crocodile one day.

Here is where we buy nuts and also fantastic bread which you can't see from this window.

Later in the day we ended up at Brunetti's on Swanston Street having a flat savoury with prosciutto and chinotto. This is looking towards the city square.

This is looking the other way towards St Paul's Cathedral. Okay, so we also had a little icecream. I had Nocciola.

Day 183 - Sweet supplies

Holidays, and you never know who will drop in. I bought several packets of lollies and poured them into a large bowl, mixing them like a salad. The snakes are the garnish on top. Actually, although I bought these for the younger visitors, I can see that they will please all ages. We're going away to Barwon Heads for a couple of days, and I think I might steal a few (handfuls). 18 yo son is staying home and planning a dinner party, which will be his culinary initiation. Maybe I'll include some photos (I'm sure he'll take them) once I'm back Sunday night.

Day 63 - Goodbye sweets

Ever reached into the depths of your pantry and pulled out a treasure trove of glistening goodies. Only you're not sure which decade these goodies originated from. And so, without further ado, I give you... the bin.
Sorry about the blurry picture.
