Day 311 - Mediterranean Night

We were invited to an evening with a Mediterranean theme. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable time with family, friends and neighbours. With the heat of the day losing its edge, we sat outside, covered in insect repellent, and full of too many foods to mention (okay, maybe just the tiramisu then). The photos are of my boys' second cousins. Yes, the boys in the photo are twins, but you can't see both of them because the right part of the photo is always cut off. It's very annoying. Have a look at the photo on Flickr.

Day 291 - A little bit of sunshine

Happy to feel a little sun this afternoon. We had the opportunity to use our new outdoor furniture for the first time when good friends/family came over. Our little MaltesexShih-Tzu also had a 'friend' over, although the two dogs kept a safe distance between them after the initial sniffing formalities. We had an impressive variety of icecream so everyone could choose their favourite flavour.
Later in the evening, we chilled with accordian music, disjointed conversation and cheese.

Day 272 - Sun for a change

The sun was very welcome today after such a grey and wet term holiday so far. I ventured out for afternoon tea with friends, followed by dinner with a good friend I don't see very often except online.

Here's what I made to take for afternoon tea.

First of all, the melted chocolate stage.

The brownies (not as blurry in real life)

I arrived at Southbank just as it was beginning to get dark and took this photo.

Oh, and my tree peony opened up.

Day 158 - Evening with friends

Good friends from our 13 years in Sydney visited last night, and we spent the night laughing and sharing stories. My friend and her daugher travel to the craft and similar shows to sell jewellery. They were generous with their gifts to us. Check me out wearing the biggest and heaviest bling ever! I have these in 4 colours!

Day 130 - Wedding reception

I've just returned from a wedding reception which was exquisite. A beautiful venue, fantastic menu, heartfelt speeches, music and good conversation (when we could hear over the music) (I sound old, don't I?) Today's picture is of friends Ammia and Theo. Pity I didn't get one of them dancing. They're very good.

Day 104 - Friends for lunch

Well, obviously, this is not a photo of my friends. Would you believe, I had the camera ready to capture lunch with my dear friends, but they came and went, and the camera was left untouched. Put it down to engaging conversation with not a moment to think about anything else. After I had cleared the table, this was all that was left. Not to mention the memory of a lovely day.

Day 52 - Old friends

This one is for you, Etoile. An old friend, now living in Tasmania, caught up with me today in Block Arcade. We lunched, and passed the small talk as we always do to the heavy duty stuff. Until our next meeting - who knows, a year, maybe 2? It doesn't matter, we always pick up where we left off. He asked about you and your family, Etoile.

Day 13 - Getting together with friends

There's nothing more pleasurable in life than getting together with good friends.

Day 11 - Mixing salad for lunch

Here I am mixing salad for lunch with family and friends. Another lovely day with warm weather, good food and company, laughter.
