Day 156 - Cirque du Soleil

My 18 yo son surprised me with a generous gift for Mother's Day - tickets for me and my husband to go to Cirque du Soleil- something we've always wanted to go to. A brilliant performance, displaying incredible skill, choreography, music, costumes and humour. We loved every minute of it. Our tickets included parking on site, and we enjoyed hors d'oeuvres and drinks in the tent, Tapis Rouge (pictured here) before the performance, and decadent desserts during the interval. A day we'll remember.

  1. Which show was it? You may not know that Cirque de Soleil is headquartered in Montreal. The founder, Guy Laliberte is a billionaire. He has just paid the Russian space programme to be allowed to go to the space station and will be going shortly to spend a week there.

  2. That's interesting. I knew Cirque du Soleil is Canadian but not the rest. I'm not surprised he's a wealthy man.

  3. I forgot to say that the program was Dralion.
