Day 308 - The day after Melbourne Cup Day

The day after Melbourne Cup Day had nothing to do with Melbourne Cup. I had the day off because I had to make the mammoth trek to my homeopath. Some people may know what this kind of day is like. Firstly, it takes me about an hour to get there, then I sit for an indeterminate length of time in the waiting room looking at framed illustrations of botanical specimens used in homeopathic remedies. And stripey chairs. Finally it's my turn, and this part usually takes about 45 minutes, but often longer. My homeopath has a nifty machine which checks me thoroughly without any invasive or painful procedures. And we have a lovely conversation. And lastly, I wait until his wife goes behind the curtain to make up the brown bottles with stoppers which make my breath smell as if I've been drinking. Oh, and then I wait a little longer until she makes up the remedies for the people who haven't wanted to make the trip but need repeats.

And then I bought some shoes.

Today's photo has nothing to do with the day and my activities, but I've got 4 or 5 of these old signs - anybody want them?
